Today AI is used in almost every industry.AI is transforming the world by making machines intelligent and capable of performing human like tasks.

Information explosion-The data was increasing and it was very difficult for human to retain it.AI became essential to analyse and understand billions of data in seconds and retain it.
Human limitations-
human get tired, forget and makes mistakes but AI does not.

1950-
British mathematician Alan turning introduced the idea “can machines think” the developed the turning test, in which a human interrogator would try to distinguish between a computer and human text response. It still remains a benchmark for machine intelligence.
1956-
The birth of AI happened during the Dartmouth conference organised by John McCarthy (father of AI)
1960-
First AI program created ELIZA, the world’s first chatbot introduced.
Early robots built for labs.
1967-
Frank Rosenblatt builds the mark-1 perception, the first computer based on a neural network that learned through trial and error.
1980-
Algorithum grew powerful AI started learning from data instead of being manually programmed.
1995-
Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig publish artificial intelligence-A Modern Approach, which becomes one of the text books in study of AI.
1997-
IBM’s Deep blue defeated world chess champion Garry Kasparov, proving machine intelligence could surpass humans
2010-2020-
AI everywhere.
